Ο Ν. Ο. Πάρου με λίγα
λόγια

Ο Ναυτικός Όµιλος Πάρου ιδρύθηκε το 1992 από µια οµάδα
ανθρώπων µε ιδιαίτερη ευαισθησία για τη θάλασσα. Η αγάπη
τους και η επιθυµία τους για τη διατήρηση της στενής σχέσης
των κατοίκων του νησιού µε τη θάλασσα, έγινε αφορµή της
δηµιουργίας του και της αλµατώδους ανάπτυξής του.
Οι φορείς και οι κάτοικοι του νησιού δέχθηκαν το καινούργιο
σωµατείο µε αγάπη, το στήριξαν και το στηρίζουν όσο πιο πολύ
µπορούν κάθε χρόνο που περνάει.
Ο Ν.Ο.Π., που έχει έδρα στα Λιβάδια της Παροικιάς, είναι
αναγνωρισµένο σωµατείο και ενεργό µέλος της Ελληνικής
Ιστιοπλοϊκής Οµοσπονδίας και της Κολυµβητικής Οµοσπονδίας
Ελλάδας. Οι τοµείς δραστηριότητάς του είναι: ο αθλητισµός
(κολύµβηση, ιστιοπλοΐα τριγώνου-ανοικτής θάλασσας), ο
πολιτισµός (επισκέψεις σε µουσεία-καρνάγια, παρακολούθηση
ειδικών προβολών)
και η οικολογία (σχετικά µαθήµατα-ανακύκλωση).
Πάνω από 2.000 παιδιά έµαθαν στα 18 χρόνια λειτουργίας του
κολύµπι ή ιστιοπλοΐα. Σήµερα στις τάξεις του γυµνάζονται 200
αθλητές των δυο τµηµάτων και αρκετοί από αυτούς συµµετέχουν
στις επίσηµες διοργανώσεις των κλάσεων τους µε σηµαντικές
επιτυχίες, όπως η κατάκτηση πανελληνίου πρωταθλήµατος και
επανειληµµένες προκρίσεις για την συµµετοχή στους αγώνες της
Εθνικής Οµάδας.
The Nautical Club of Paros (NOP) was founded in 1992 by a
small group of people with a special relationship with the
sea. Their love and willingness to preserve the close
relationship of the inhabitants of the island with the sea
- which spans the ages - was the reason of the creation of
the Club and its subsequent rapid growth.
Local businesses and organizations, as well as the people
of the island have welcomed the Nautical Club and continue
to support it.
Paros Nautical Club is located in the Livadia beach in
Parikia and is an active member of both the Hellenic
Sailing Federation and the Hellenic Swimming Federation
and is open to children from 4 years old.
The activities of the club are sailing (triangle and open
sea), swimming, cultural (museum and boatyard visits, and
screening of training videos), and ecology (excursions,
education, and recycling).
More than 2,000 children have passed through the Club
since it was founded, being taught in swimming and
sailing. Today, there are 200 training with the Club.
Athletes from the Club participate in all the
Championships and events organized by the Federation in
their respective classes, and the Paros club is already
well respected, and regularly has athletes selected for
the national Greek sailing teams.
